Those words said by Mexican President Porfirio Diaz (1830-1915) will remain acute as long as the US politicians are still faithful to the ideas of Anglo-Saxon expansionism… Let’s draw parallels with the so called «Circassian issue». The comparisons are more than propitious once Washington is dissatisfied with the existing borders between the «Circassian republics» of the Russian Federation… Washington demands Russia immediately let in several hundred thousand Circassians from Syria, Jordan, Israel, Turkey and other countries because historically they come from the Caucasus…

The currently tense situation in Syria and around it has galvanized the propaganda clichés that the West is using to stigmatize Russia for the so-called “Circassian question”. The Circassians is a general terms for the kindred languages and cultures of the Kabardians, the Cherkess, the Ubykh people, the Adygs and the Shapsugs of the North Caucasus. Individual members of the Circassian diaspora in different countries have repeatedly manifested their wish to be repatriated to their historical homeland, – to Russia, and Circassians in Syria are no exception… That is why the US is trying to have the Circassian issue “entwined” with the “lining” of the Syrian problem…

On November 7th the European Parliament discussed the problems of the Cherkess community. The Cherkess are in origin a North Caucasian ethnic group…The West has been urging Cherkess organizations abroad to submit such demands to Moscow which would signal the beginning of a large-scale information warfare against Russia… The meeting at the European Parliament  brought together members of the Cherkess organizations from the US, Israel, Turkey, Europe…
