None of the arguments for remaining in Syria are serious, let alone persuasive. Wishing for a different result does not a viable alternative make.
Washington should bring its forces home. Neither Iraq nor Syria has threatened America. In any case, President Donald Trump has no warrant to occupy Syria without congressional approval and has no purpose which justifies congressional assent.
