Are Militants from China's Xinjiang Region Really Being Trained by the Islamic State?

China's government announced this week that militants from its fractious western region of Xinjiang are leaving the country to seek training from the Islamic State (IS).

Xinjiang in Focus of US Foreign Policy

The US intervention into Afghanistan has exacerbated the situation near the southern part of Russia. In case the US gets a foothold in the Xinjiang Uygur Region, the things will exponentially worsen, there are many Uyghurs living in Central Asia (250000 in Kazakhstan, 60000 in Kyrgyzstan, 50000 in Uzbekistan etc)... The US goes to any length to support the Uygur separatists abroad, for instance the World Uyghur Congress headed by Rabiya Kadir , one of the richest Chinese in the world...

As the session of the National People's Congress was being held in Beijing, conflicting reports were once again starting to come out of the Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous Region – a region situated in the northwest part of China which borders Central Asian post-Soviet republics and is populated, for the most part, by Muslims and members of other Turkic nations...

Russia, India and Pakistan-China Cooperation (I)

Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit Pakistan. Reportedly the event is to take place in September this year. «Lull» is a natural thing for summer time that gives an opportunity to reflect on the reasons defining Russia’s policy in the southern part of Central Eurasia... Formally the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has two major strategic allies – The China People’s Republic and the USA. But in light of the 2011 events the Pakistan’s ruling circles lost trust in the USA placing greater value on China that is routinely called an «all weather friend»...
