Russia remains key strategic partner for Total - CEO

Sanctions against Russia pose risk to Europe as a whole, Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne said in an interview with Belgian daily Le Soir. Russia remains the key strategic partner for French oil giant Total, believes Patrick Pouyanne.  «We are speaking here about the most important strategic choice made by (Total late CEO) Christophe de Margerie. We will remain in Russia for a long time,» Pouyanne said.

Christoph de Margerie: Europe Does Not Need Another Berlin Wall

...It’s not organizations but rather people who lay down the basis for mutual trust between nations. The level of contributions differs; in some cases it by far exceeds the average like in the case of Christoph de Margerie. In July the head of Total told Reuters in an interview that Europe needs no Berlin Wall. «Are we going to build a new Berlin Wall?» he asked adding, «Russia is a partner and we shouldn't waste time protecting ourselves from a neighbour ... What we are looking to do is not to be too dependent on any country, no matter which. Not from Russia, which has saved us on numerous occasions»...

The recent shooting of the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul by two woman who were claimed by Turkish authorities to be members of a far-left terrorist group, the Revolutionary People's Liberation Army-Front (DHKP-C), as well as a suspicious incident on a Thalys high-speed train bound for Paris from Amsterdam, indicate that the false flag operations conducted by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency’s Cold War-era «stay behind network» known as Gladio may be back in full operation...
