Washington Spies on NATO; Other Allies

As the United States marshals its eastern European NATO allies to confront Russia and the independence governments and movements in the Donbass and Odessa regions of Ukraine, the latest revelations of National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden confirm that the then-U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice ordered NSA to spy on the Washington embassies and New York UN delegations of a number of U.S. allies, including NATO members...

The Massive PSYOP Employed against Ukraine by GCHQ and NSA

...In Ukraine, the democratically-elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych fell more quickly than either Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak or Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi simply because the Western corporate media fully cooperated in FIVE EYES efforts to activate armies of sock puppets with aliases who disseminated anti-Yanukovych propaganda and, with the assistance of the global corporate news media, «pushed stories»... One media organization after another likened the shooting deaths to the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989 and Yanukovych was likened to Saddam Hussein and Qaddafi, both of whom fell victim to early embryonic computer network information operations...

Adding DCS to US Intelligence Effort – Slam Dunk Thing

John Bennet, senior сongressional reporter at Defense News, a well-known and widely respected expert, says in his brilliant piece Analysis: Defense Clandestine Service Is Here To Stay that the US Defense Clandestine Service (DCS) is a done deal... The plan fits in with the Obama administration’s affinity for espionage and covert action over conventional force. Evidently Washington is applying efforts to enhance intelligence efficiency in view of security failures, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and other places... As has become widely known thanks to Edward Snowden’s revelations, the NSA – another military agency under the jurisdiction of DOD - acts beyond the scrutiny of Congress and violates human rights, domestic and international law at home and abroad, so there is a big chance the military intelligence will do the same now...

Munich: Imposing Their Own Will on Eastern Europe

...Once more an attempt to take control of Eastern Europe is undertaken in Munich. It does not look like Europeans are interested in another Drang nach Osten as much as their American partners are. Not all are happy about the fact that everything in the Western world, unlike in the pre-war Munich, is decided by one center of power instead of finding an agreement between different groups of interests. It’s well known what the 1938 Munich adventure resulted in, but history cannot be repeated, that’s what the Munich event confirmed. Some politicians start to routinely talk about interference into other states affairs, including the use of force, and it makes one wonder. This kind of attitude is becoming unacceptable...

The Fight between David and Goliath: Edward Snowden vs. the White House

Presidential Policy Directive No. 28 (PPD-28), «Signals Intelligence Activities» (1, signed by President Obama after Snowden's revelations, has only glossed over U.S. espionage activities. In essence the new directive does not change anything. This is especially noticeable after the appearance several days ago of a report from the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, an independent U.S. government agency.   The report, which examines the issue from both sides and is addressed to the President, among others, says that the collection and storage of telephone data by the U.S. National Security Agency only help in the war on terrorism to a small degree, are illegal and should be ended.  It seems that the rules for protecting human rights which Washington loves so much to talk about were not written for it...

Obama’s Cosmetic Changes for NSA Surveillance Programs

On January 17, 2014 US President Barack Obama gave a 40-minute speech at the Justice Department describing his plans to reshape the intelligence activities of National Security Agency and the whole intelligence community... The United States government is not going to curtail its intelligence programs. It believes that the existing technical capability provides a solid ground for their implementation... The governments of the countries, which cherish hopes to remain active world politics actors, should tackle seriously the problem of information sovereignty. The United States holds a dialogue only when faced by equal force, it ignores anyone it finds to be not strong enough. It strives to establish its supremacy in all commons, this time it is information space its efforts are focused on...

The Strategic Consequences of Edward Snowden's Revelations (II)

...While some time ago scientists said that creating a quantum computer would take at least 100 years, now, according to Seth Lloyd, a leading specialist on quantum mechanics from MIT, one could say that the goal will be reached within the next decade, but no earlier than 5 years, as the scientists still have a lot of work to do in this field. As with any great invention, quantum computers could accomplish many grandiose tasks, including the creation of artificial intelligence. However, when the main initiator of their creation is the NSA, it is not thoughts of the benefit of humanity that come to mind, but thoughts of the establishment of total control over humanity...

The Strategic Consequences of Edward Snowden's Revelations (I)

One of the most important world events of 2013 was Edward Snowden's revelation that the United States is attempting to keep all of humanity under surveillance using cutting-edge electronic devices. In the final days of last year, the former U.S. National Security Agency contractor addressed the international community in a televised speech in order to once again point out the seriousness of the problem. In his speech Snowden referred to George Orwell's novel ‘1984’, saying that the means of monitoring people described by Orwell (the novel was written in 1948) seem laughable compared to what is being done today...

The Prime Minister Who Revealed Top Secret NSA Documents after He Was Dead

In an interview with the reactionary right-wing Fox News network, former Central Intelligence Agency director James Woolsey said U.S. National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden «should be prosecuted for treason. If convicted by a jury of his peers, he should be hanged by his neck until he is dead»... Woolsey, of course, is the last person in the world whose opinion on Snowden’s fate should be given any credibility. However, Snowden’s fate is being weighed at the highest levels of the U.S. government...
