CIA and Chevron against President of Ecuador

The President of Ecuador Rafael Correa praised the book The CIA Against Latin America –Special Case – Ecuador. Over 30,000 copies are in circulation. Written by Jaime Galarza Zavala and Francisco Herrera Aráuz the book tells a story about the dirty tricks the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was engaged in during the 1960s in Ecuador. The authors offer interviews with Phillip Agee recorded at different times. Agee was a retired CIA operative who turned against the Agency...

Democracy American Style - Macedonia

In January, Russia fired Ukraine as its natural gas transit for Europe. The pipeline across Ukraine was ideally positioned for this function. However, Ukraine's practice of failing to pay for the natural gas it used and the outright hostility of the Kiev junta toward Russia were simply too much. Russia gave notice that the spigot would be turned off permanently in 2019.

Are the US and the EU Sponsoring Terrorism in Burundi?

Since protests broke out in Burundi’s capital Bujumbura in April 25th  2015 against the decision of the  ruling party to nominate the country’s leader Pierre Nkurunziza for a third term as president, the international press has published reports suggesting that the country is on the verge of civil war, as president Nkurunziza, portrayed as a dictator attempting to hold on to power, is confronted with  an ever increasing movement of ‘peaceful protesters’, ‘human rights’ and ‘civil society’ activists who have an almost absolute monopoly on reportage concerning Burundi’s electoral controversy.

Kerry Re-writes History of U.S. Support for Color Revolutions

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry either has a blind spot when it comes to the last 15 years of U.S. foreign policy or he told a big whopping lie in Geneva. Kerry, in defining U.S. action in Ukraine, said that «We [the United States] are not involved in multiple color revolutions». Someone in Kerry’s position should know better...

Nuland attempts Kiev Version 2.0 in Skopje

After having initiated her well-planned Maidan Square uprising in Kiev in early 2014, triggering Europe’s worst conflict in Ukraine since the Balkan Wars of the 1990s, Victoria Nuland, the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, recently attempted a Kiev-style putsch in Macedonia aimed at overthrowing that nation’s democratically-elected government of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski...

Cold War CIA Coup Templates Back in Business around the World

The greatest collection of status quo enthusiasts can be found at Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Langley, Virginia. As nations around the world attempt to distance themselves from Washington’s financial, military, and political grip, the CIA is reaching into its past playbook to deal with wayward governments. After helping to foment a political rebellion in Ukraine against the democratically-elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych, Washington’s propaganda apparatus, which is centered on the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and George Soros’s Open Society Institute (OSI), has focused on Venezuela... What unites CIA destabilization campaigns in Ukraine and Venezuela is the use of local fascists to bolster anti-government forces...

Greenbacks for blue buckets: USAID support for instability in Russia

...While the democracy manipulators brag about their successes, they never want to write or talk about their failures, of which there are many. The Blue Bucket, White, Sandal, Lotus, Jasmine, Cedar, Green, and Orange Revolution II capers in Russia, China, Indonesia, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Iran, and Ukraine, respectively, were all miserable failures... As long as Obama, Soros, McFaul and their ilk continue to try to set the clock back to the Cold War, their paid agent provocateurs will continue to suffer failure after failure until their «bag of tricks», blue buckets, white sheets, sandals, topless tramps, and otherwise, are no longer worthy of the public’s attention...

Civil Society Intervention as a Geopolitical Instrument

In July 2012 the Russian Duma passed a law which obliges civil society organisations to financing transparency. This includes the declaration and control of foreign money... Russia is not the first country to hinder civil society interventions from outside. So Venezuela closed down the NED-bureau in Caracas in December 2010. And Egypt checked the bureaus of five foreign foundations and brought more than 40 responsible employees (Americans, Germans, Serbians and Egyptians) to the court. They are accused of «illegal activities with illegal money transfers»... With the new Russian law controlling foreign money flow into civil society organisations, the Western «N»GOs are forced to react. USAID is the first to close down its office end of September 2012...

US Trojan Horses in Venezuela

Several days ago, representatives of 55 Venezuelan NGOs called the international community to rise to the defense of democracy in the country at a media event in Miami, charging Hugo Chavez with threatening democracy, neglecting human rights, and igniting a civilian conflict in Venezuela. The participants of the event pledged that the campaign built around the demand to put the Venezuelan leader on trial would continue in order to keep Chavez's regime under permanent pressure, and its coordinator Carlos Fernandez announced that an appeal had been supplied to the Hague Tribunal to make Chavez face justice over nothing less than alleged crimes against humanity...

The Purpose of U.S. Soft Power Themed Revolutions: Disunity and Power Projection

The Maldives were destabilized by the West at the same time that the Egyptian government charged 43 CIA-linked NGO personnel, including Americans, Britons, Serbs, and others working for IRI, NDI, and NED, with possessing a secret plan, including maps, to divide Egypt into an Israeli-dominated Sinai state, a Coptic state extending from Alexandria in the north to Asyut in the South, a Berber-dominated Islamic state based in Cairo, and a black African Nubian state in the south...

Russia has enough gas for everyone

The June 26 speech by Alexey Miller, the chairman of the board of Gazprom, at the annual general meeting of shareholders proved to be a cold shower for all those who hoped that Russia would pull out of Europe’s gas markets. Despite the fact that much of his report was devoted to Gazprom’s operations in the Russian Far East, the data Miller provided confirmed that Russian gas will not be squeezed out of Europe’s energy balance. Moreover, in the coming years Russian gas supplies will continue to play a steadily larger role in ensuring European energy security...
