Washington and Riyadh Fail to Bridge Syria Gap

The attempts to make the representatives of Syria’s government and opposition get together at the round table on January 25 have failed. There was no agreement on the list of opposition invitees. Probably, bridging the gap between opposition groups was the main goal of US State Secretary John Kerry’s unexpected visit to Saudi Arabia...

Lavrov-Kerry Zurich Meeting: Russia-US Step Up Cooperation on Burning Security Issues

The situation in Syria, in Ukraine, the North Korean nuclear problem, as well as a number of bilateral issues were in focus of the meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Switzerland’s Zurich on January 20 in Zurich...

Putin’s Progress in Syria Sends Kerry Scampering to the United Nations

Imagine if the American people elected a president who was much worse than George W. Bush or Barack Obama. A real tyrant. Would that be sufficient justification for someone like Vladimir Putin to arm and train Mexican and Canadian mercenaries to invade America, kill US civilians, destroy cities and critical infrastructure, seize vital oil refineries and pipeline corridors, behead government officials and prisoners they’d captured, declare their own independent state, and do everything in their power to overthrow the elected-government in Washington?

UNSC Approves Resolution on Syria: Russia, US Make Strides in Boosting Cooperation in Middle East (I)

For the first time since the Syrian civil war began, world powers agreed on Dec.18 at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to embrace a plan for a cease-fire and a peace process that holds the distant prospect of ending the conflict...

John Kerry Visits Moscow: Important Step to Coordinate Efforts to Tackle Burning Issues

US State Secretary John Kerry travelled to Moscow on December 15 to bridge gaps over ways to end the Syrian conflict and discuss other hot issues of mutual concern. With the holidays and New Year approaching, Mr. Kerry's visit could be the last chance to achieve progress between Russia and the US before 2016. Prior to the negotiations a calico cat appeared in the yard of the Foreign Ministry’s mansion – a good sign and a symbol of good luck. To some extent, it has proven to be true. The United States and Russia are demonstrating readiness for cooperation...

US Leverages Ukraine for Regime Change in Syria

US Secretary of State John Kerry was in Moscow this week bearing what can only be described as a bribe to Russia. The unspoken essence of Washington’s arm twisting towards Moscow is this: give us Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad’s head on a platter – and we’ll call off the dogs of war in Ukraine. The latter part of the deal also comes with the added “sweetener» that the US and its European allies would lift economic sanctions off Russia...

New Front of Syrian War: White House vs State Department

US State Secretary John Kerry admitted at the Vienna press-conference that he had not been informed about the decision of President Obama to deploy Special Operations Forces (SOF) in Syria. This fact confirms the rumors that have been circulating in Washington for a long time

So Obama Wants Talks with Putin on Syria?

After more than a year of demonising Russia as a threat to world peace, all of a sudden the United States changes tack and wants to hold talks with Moscow over Syria. US President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin are set to hold talks in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting. The leaders will meet on Monday, 28 September, authorities from both the countries have confirmed. What a change from Obama’s churlish tantrums towards the Russian president!..

John Kerry – Inspirer of Cuban Opposition

The official ceremony opening the U.S. Embassy in Havana took place on August 14. US State Secretary John Kerry attended the event. He was in spotlight that day. It could not have been otherwise. In recent years the State Department led by Secretary Kerry has achieved little to be proud of regarding its Latin America’s policy. Now a promising diplomatic breakthrough is looming as the relations with Cuba have been restored at the embassy level. In January 1961 the US flag was lowered to be taken away from Havana by US diplomats after then President Dwight Eisenhower took a decision to break the relations with the revolutionary Cuba. Now the Stars and Stripes moved up the flagpole again accompanied by the sound of US national anthem...

European Political Influence Operations Are «Made in USA»

In yet another case of pure American hypocrisy on a grand scale, the US Congress has ordered James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, to investigate alleged Russian financing of European political parties over the past decade...
