Libyan BUK Missile Unit May Have Been Used by AQIM to Down Algerian Passenger Plane

After the U.S.-supported ouster of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi in 2011, Libyan jihadist rebels swarmed through Libyan army weapons depots and helped themselves to Soviet-made portable shoulder-launched missiles and launchers, BUK missile batteries capable of bringing down aircraft flying over 30,000 feet, and other military equipment, including mortars and rocket-propelled grenades. Some of the Libyan equipment ended up in the hands of Saharan-based insurgent groups such as Al Qaeda in the Maghreb (AQIM) and the Mali-based Ansar Dine. There is a real possibility that anti-aircraft weapons that fell into the hands of U.S.-supported Libyan guerrillas and were subsequently transferred to Saharan-based rebels were used to attack Air Algerie 5017...

Ukraine: Arab Spring Comes Along with Breath of Plagues

Some time ago Washington started to plan a string of «color revolutions» to facilitate the world division into two free trade zones – Transatlantic and Transpacific. The aim was to expand the world periphery under its control. As far back as in 2007 the US plans to reshape the maps of North Africa and the Middle East leaked into media... Somewhere it panned out as planned like in Libya and Tunisia, for instance. In other places healthy elements of society consolidated in the times of need to turn the process back, like it was in Egypt. In other cases a country was plunged into a bloody drawn-out conflict as a result of rebellion, the example is Syria... Vitali Klitschko, the leader of UDAR political party, has recently addressed the Euromaidan filled by protesters. He made no bones about it saying Victor Yanukovych may follow the fate of Gaddafi...

Gold: Back to Money World (II)

There are two interpretations of the reasons behind the military intervention against Libya – the defense of human rights and the desire to grab the Gaddafi’s oil. Both are wrong. The real reason is the fact, that Colonel Gaddafi was brave enough to follow the example of General De Gaulle. He tried to bring into life the idea of getting away from paper money in favor of gold standard. By doing so he threatened the owners of printing press or, in other words, the major share owners of the private company under the name of the US Federal Reserve System...

Remember Libyan Jamahiriya

Libya was a self-sufficient, prosperous state which collapsed two years ago. It makes remember the dramatic events and what it resulted in. First of all, it was a new type of war, a “virtual revolution” and the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions were based on…editing the stages of a TV movie... After the events in Libya, election results and adherence to internal law stopped being yardsticks for judging the legitimacy of state power. It was the statements by foreign leaders (the President of the United States, for instance) that mattered now... The elimination of Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya was the end of a large-scale world project, an alternative pattern of society...

Seif al-Islam Gaddafi and the Fight behind the Scene over His Fate

The legal proceedings against Seif al-Islam, the son of Muammar Gaddafi, have developed into an unusual situation, that has had no precedents in the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) history.  The matter is that the Court itself is exerting efforts to destroy the case so that the accused would never have to face it...There is ground to believe that some kind of clash  between two opposing forces took place inside the Court. One of the forces had never made itself known before…

Sources of Libyan War. Revelations of Former French Foreign Minister

At first glance at the 2011 events in Libya it looks like the decision to attack the country was taken only somewhere in February or March. A number of facts and official documents seem to prove it... But there are facts of completely different nature that give enough ground to say that there was a thoroughly played game aimed at lulling the vigilance of Libyan leadership...

America’s Death Pornography Culture: Celebrating brutal deaths of Qaddafi and Saddam

The United States government and military revels in death and pornographic intimidation. The videos and photographs of howling Iraqis celebrating the hanging of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein after his U.S.-administered kangaroo court trial in Iraq and the physical abuse, alleged sodomizing, and execution of Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi by NATO-armed and directed rebels after his convoy in Sirte was reportedly struck by a U.S. drone-launched missile, exemplify America’s fixation with pornographic death scenes…

Why does the International Criminal Court keep silence on Gaddafi`s death?

The alleged killing of the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has brought several crucial issues of international law to the forefront. Though it is evident that many pieces of video footage featuring Gaddafi`s last hours are fake, still there are some which may prove real...Russia`s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for a thorough investigation in to Gaddafi`s death.  The world`s leading human rights organization, Amnesty International, commented on the event. Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court keeps silence. Why?..

The Murder of Gadhafi

...The death of Gadhafi is by all means a major NATO success. Gone is another defiant and nationally-minded leader, and his place will be taken by a puppet akin to those already installed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Step by step, the West is forming across the Muslim world a cohort of rulers serving the architects of globalization rather than their own nations. Who is next on the hit list - Saleh, Assad, or Ahmadinejad, and is the post-Soviet Central Asia going to be the next target?

The West Scores Another Triumph Over the Arab World: Libya on the Brink

The fall of M. Gadhafi's regime will come as a huge success of the globalization forces seeking to establish a new world order. The proportions of the campaign the West launched in Libya and the level of sophistication of the technologies employed were impressive regardless of the accompanying political assessments – altogether they combined into a fundamental political initiative with far-reaching historical goals... human rights groups are warning that a massacre against Gadhafi's loyalists, an epidemic of violence, and a period of chaos brought about by regime change might be on the horizon in Libya...

US slouches toward Syria, again (I). A war by some other name

What began as ‘humanitarian intervention’ in Iraq has since spread from Kurdistan to Baghdad to Anbar and in the past forty-eight hours or so reached Syria with the US president having given approval for sustained air reconnaissance missions in its airspace... At least 200000 Syrian people have been killed, 2.5 million Syrians have been turned into refugees and over 6.5 million Syrians have been displaced in the carnage in Syria so far. Isn’t that enough? Surely, some of that blood at least must be on Obama’s hands?
