Brzezinski about Ukraine: Underlying Meaning of Finland Option

A coup took place in Kiev of February 22, 2014. The same day the Financial Times published the Russia Needs to be Offered a ‘Finland Option’ for Ukraine article by Zbignew Brzezinski... Mr. Brzezinski has a long history of giving advices to many US administrations. Now he comes up with an offer to lend a helping hand to the new government in Kiev and deter Russia from taking resolute steps to defend its interests of vital importance in Ukraine... The Brzezinski’s idée fixe is the further fragmentation of Eurasia’s political map (along the former Yugoslavia lines) that’s why he virulently opposes any form of integration in the post-Soviet space...

NATO Steadfast Jazz Exercise – Chill of Cold War

...Exercise «Steadfast Jazz» is the largest in scale NATO training event in seven years to be held from Nov. 2 to 9 in a number of locations across the Alliance with the largest elements being hosted in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. If NATO were ever called on to defend an alliance member, «we have to be prepared for the more high-end of military operations», said U.S. Air Force General Philip Breedlove speaking at a NATO headquarters at Brunssum in the Netherlands on September 18...

The Western Challenge to Eurasian Integration

Recently, official Warsaw and not-so-official Stockholm have taken a number of steps to reinforce their successes in the East in order to gain new bargaining chips for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November 2013, which will be devoted to developing a unified policy on the East for European countries... The main players in the project are Sweden in the north, Poland in the west, and NATO member Turkey in the south...

Nordic States Security: Trends and Prospects (II)

Leading Sweden and Finland into the embrace of NATO will make the nations targets of potential retaliatory strike while   compelling them to participate in unwanted wars. As one can see the policy is implemented against the will of common people who find good neighborly relations with everyone and sticking to traditional neutrality as the course that serves them best. They also realize Russia will not stand idle looking at further NATO expansion…

Nordic States Security (I)

Sweden has come out with a proposal to build a joint Nordic Battalion Force (NBF) to make it part of the agenda for Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark... The force advocated by Sweden would operate as a separate force to the European Union’s Swedish-led Nordic Battle Group (NBG), made up of troops and equipment from Finland, Norway, Ireland, Estonia and Latvia. Unlike the NBF, which would be Nordic-specific, the larger NBG is assigned to the EU’s standby international mission forces. But taking into consideration the fact that the major EU parties are also NATO members, it easy to guess the both formations will inevitably add to NATO’s capabilities too…

Finland: A Bit More About Terrorist Haven

...The Finish authorities render wide support to international terrorism and it makes Finland be the disgrace of Europe. Finish human rights activist Juha Molari said in this connection, that when the country’s leaders actually turn a blind eye on the activities of terrorist information networks and their funding, then a very serious political issue pops up: how come such a state could be a United Nations Security Council’s non-permanent member while ignoring the UNSC demands for terminating any support to Doku Umarov and his terrorist network in Finland?

Finnish-Caucasian Emirate

The facts revealing the «Finnish traсe» in the Boston marathon terrorist bombing have become a thing of general public knowledge. I offer just a cursory look at them to substantiate a warning: Europe is not immune from the events the Bostoners went through in April 2013... The Boston tragedy brought into light the terrorists structures located in Finland. But the activities of the «Finnish-Caucasian Emirate» spread much further, far beyond the one state boundaries...

Caucasus Emirate in Europe

...To some extent, the Boston act has moved the issue of Caucasian terrorist activities in Europe and the United States into light... The motives driving the Tsarnaev brother’s actions are taking shape. The brothers abused the US hospitality to become kind of delayed-action bomb. What about the «Battalion of Chechen Martyrs» and two hundred members of the Caucasian Emarate in Germany? Is it all really «under tight surveillance»?

A Finnish Haven for Terrorists

The extremist Internet site «Kavkaz-Center», which is once again being talked about in connection with the terrorist attacks in Boston, used to operate out of Sweden and at one time was located in Estonia and Lithuania, but has seriously become a mouthpiece for Chechen terrorists since moving to Finland. Here it has been taken under the wing of Mikael Storsjö, whose activities are regarded quite favourably by the Finnish authorities. Operating out of Finland, «Kavkaz-Center» successfully acts as an «information window» to the outside world for the «Caucasus Emirate» – an organisation classified as terrorist in Russia. Characteristically, the US authorities have also included the Caucasus Emirate on its list of terrorist organisations, but are doing nothing to neutralise it...

Boston Echoes in Finland

What happened in Boston is still rather opaque, but new facts are being revealed... Somehow, the fact of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s alleged involvement in a secret operation launched by the Central Intelligence Agency is undeservedly left out of focus... The terrorist information network has branches in Western Europe, including Finland. There is information testifying to the fact that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev received instructions from the Kavkaz Center listed by the United Nations Security Council as a mouthpiece of "Emarat Kavkaz", a terrorist organization led by Doku Umarov...

The International Monetary Fund Might Not Live to See Its Anniversary

The latest meeting of the ministers of finance and central bank governors of the G20 countries took place April 10-11, 2014 in Washington. A key issue was the reform of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)... Through their inaction on the issue of reforming the IMF, the United States first and foremost is discrediting itself. And second, the Fund. Third, the G20. The Fund's reputation is plummeting especially fast considering that in recent years China has been giving "third world" countries loans similar in size to those offered by the IMF and the IBRD. But Beijing, unlike the IMF, does not set political conditions in the spirit of the Washington Consensus...
