CIA Faces Purges as Situation Remains Tense in Ukraine

...According to the «Washington Times», a senior CIA official died in an apparent suicide in early April from injuries sustained after jumping off a building in Northern Virginia. CIA spokesman Christopher White confirmed the death and said the incident did not take place at CIA headquarters in McLean, Va... One of the versions says the suicide victim wanted to escape like Edward Snowden did... His recent activities had been mainly centered on Ukraine... He knew the names of CIA operatives acting under cover including top junta officials. Having escaped, he could have used the information to his advantage. One of the bloggers conjectured that the dead CIA official wanted to explode «a new bomb» by publishing a scoop with new revelations about criminal activities of US special services but his intention became known...

CIA, FBI and Now Academi Mercenaries on the Ground in Ukraine

The German newspaper Bild am Sonntag reported on Sunday 400 U.S. mercenaries are working with the junta government in Ukraine to suppress opposition to the coup in the eastern part of the country. The newspaper said the for-profit mercenaries are actively participating in the effort to eliminate anti-coup activists in Slavyansk and possibly other areas in the Donetsk region.

What Will the FBI Do with Stolen Ukrainian Assets?

Recently the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Spokesperson announced that the U.S. had sent a team of experts from the FBI, the Justice Department and the Treasury Department to assist Kiev in recovering stolen assets located abroad... The main part of Ukraine's assets abroad formed as a result of illegal export of capital by high-ranking officials and oligarchs... In evaluating the likelihood of Ukraine recovering even a small part of the tens of billions of dollars which were taken from it and exported abroad, it is useful to recall the story of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Lazarenko. He is serving a prison sentence in the U.S. for money laundering... 15 years have passed since Lazarenko's arrest in the U.S., but Ukraine has yet to receive a single dollar of the ex-prime minister's frozen funds. And it never will...

Are the Boston Marathon Bombings tied to a New American Campaign into the Caucasus

Many questions remain unanswered about the Boston Marathon Bombings that took place on April 15, 2013... The murder of Russia’s Muslim leaders in the North Caucasus coincides with notions that the United States is planning to destabilize Russia’s North Caucasus. After Syria, in fact, there are strong fears that Russia’s North Caucasus, along with Lebanon and Iraq, will be the next targets of anti-government militants in Syria...

Terrorist Attacks in the U.S.: Totalitarianism vs. Civil War (I)

Bloody Mother's Day in New Orleans on May 13 became the most recent in a series of terrorist attacks in the U.S. in a short period. After the bombings in Boston came a terrorist attack during a car rally in Atlanta (4/16), the sabotage shooting of a power substation in the Silicon Valley (4/17), massive explosions in Texas (4/18), an announcement that seven more bombs had been found in Boston (4/20)... Why Boston and Texas? Why, several hours before the explosions in Texas, did Republican Gregg Abbot, the attorney general of that state and a likely gubernatorial candidate, declare to his fellow party members that President Obama and his Democrat supporters are «far more dangerous» than the leader of North Korea, who had threatened a nuclear attack on the U.S.?

US Civil War: Is It Possible?

By the end of 2012, the New York Times published a sensational article called “ Survive Societal Collapse in Suburbia”.  It said Obama had already taken some steps to counter a massive civil war and incoming manifestation of totalitarianism. In these efforts he relies on a superagency – the Department of Homeland Security employing over 160 thousand people, having a budget measured in dozens of dollars and supervising the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureauof Investigation, tax services and other government bodies. It can operate beyond the US borders, allowed to arrest and physically neutralize, it boasts the whole army of informers and is given a carte-blanche for following the steps and hinder the activities of those, who are involved in subversive activities and considered to be the enemies of people by the US authorities…

Post-Legal America and the World Order: Drone Killing Today, Cyber Bully Tomorrow?

Even the most casual observer of international affairs since the turn of the century is familiar with the willingness of the government of the United States to bypass international law under circumstances it alone determines. The war of aggression launched against Iraq under false pretenses ten years ago this month may be the first example that comes to mind, but there are numerous others...

The DEA as a coordinator of drug trafficking in Latin America

Inspector Franklin Brewster Chase, aged 39, the head of investigation of particularly important cases of drug trafficking in Panama, was poisoned on July 3, 2006. Brewster, like many other members of staff, kept food brought from home in the fridge, which stood in one of the staff rooms. After having lunch and drinking water from a plastic bottle, he fell ill, began to complain of shortness of breath, fever, dizziness, and nausea. Half an hour later, still conscious, he asked to be taken to the National Hospital. Two weeks later he died in excruciating pain. Panamanian investigators told the press that, in all probability, Brewster had been poisoned by organophosphate pesticides...

Threats to the U.S. as viewed by the country’s intelligence

On January 31, James Clapper, chief of the United States Intelligence Community (IC), presented a report on the threats America is to face in the future... Judging from the frequency of mention, we may conclude that Iran is now the No. 1 enemy for the US, while Russia is ranked second...

US slouches toward Syria, again (I). A war by some other name

What began as ‘humanitarian intervention’ in Iraq has since spread from Kurdistan to Baghdad to Anbar and in the past forty-eight hours or so reached Syria with the US president having given approval for sustained air reconnaissance missions in its airspace... At least 200000 Syrian people have been killed, 2.5 million Syrians have been turned into refugees and over 6.5 million Syrians have been displaced in the carnage in Syria so far. Isn’t that enough? Surely, some of that blood at least must be on Obama’s hands?
