Nuland Goes to Europe: End of Compromise Culture

Victoria Nuland, the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, has just wound up its European trip which included US satellites in the eastern part of old continent: Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. Making speeches she sounded more like a British viceroy addressing the subjects in a colony than a middle-ranking official of another state located overseas which is supposed to treat US allies with due respect as sovereign nations...

Croatian Leader Lauds Ustasha Nazis as the «Fourth Reich Lite» Rears Its Ugly Head in Europe

Croatia’s president, the former deputy NATO secretary general for public diplomacy Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, decided to pay homage to Nazis of the Ustasha Nazi puppet regime of Croatia shot by Yugoslav partisans at the end of World War II... Grabar-Kitarovic represents a phalanx of Nazi sympathizers and aspirant nations who serve in senior government positions throughout NATO countries in Eastern Europe, including the three Baltic States, Albania, Hungary, Poland, and Ukraine. NATO headquarters has always been rife with pro-Nazi senior officers on its staff...

Dayton for Ukraine

With all the agreements reached, the talks in Minsk have left a lot of unsolved problems. The main one is defining the territorial status of what some call separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions while others view them as the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. I believe that the experience of the Dayton 1995 accords could be useful here. Obviously the Dayton (Bosnian) model is relevant in the case of Ukraine...

Genocide against Serbs of Croatia: Did it Take Place?

The United Nations International Court of Justice delivered the verdict in the landmark case «Croatia vs. Serbia» on February 3. The Republic of Croatia filed the suit against Serbia in 1999 to accuse it of committing genocide during the armed conflict on the territory of former Yugoslavia in 1991-1994. The barefaced impudence comparable with the affirmations about Russia being «an aggressor» made Serbia respond...

Croatia Elects Former NATO Official President

Croatia has become the latest European nation to propel a confirmed Atlanticist and former resident of the United States into high political office. Conservative politician and former NATO assistant secretary general for public diplomacy Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic defeated incumbent center-left president Ivo Josipovic by a traditional George Soros-crafted razor-thin vote. In the case of Croatia’s second-round, the vote was 50.54 percent for Grabar-Kitarovic to 49.46 percent for Josipovic... Grabar-Kitarovic is the ideological heir of the puppet Nazi State of Croatia, which was led by the fascist Ustashe movement, from which Grabar-Kitarovic’s HDZ party receives so much of its inspiration.

South Stream Shapes European Energy Security, Nabucco Falls Behind

South Stream is an ambitious endeavor of Russia’s energy giant Gazprom to get direct access to the EU energy market. It is portrayed and criticized by some politicians in Europe as a «dangerous» gateway to a broader economic relationship with Moscow. Remarkably enough, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary have one-by-one opted for the project...

Europe Going Through Changes Right in Front of Our Eyes

The Greek crisis provided an impetus to the ongoing centrifugal process inside the European Union. A strong secessionist sentiment is there. National interests happen to be more important than the values of «United Europe»… Looks like Europe is in for a wave of referendums with unpredictable results. Besides Great Britain, Austria and Finland, Euroscepticism is on the rise in many other EU members as well...
