From Srebrenica and Racak to Benghazi and Homs

...Atlanticism is on the march. Both NATO’s operations in the Balkans and the Arab World are intended to expand the Euro-Atlantic Zone. Its involvement in African Union missions in East Africa are also tied to this. For all observers who take a detailed look at the restructuring of states vanquished by NATO, this should be very clear. Humanitarianism has become the new face of modern imperialism.

Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Map of the Battle Over Dominance in Europe

The 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina stands out as exceptionally ferocious even in the grisly context of Yugoslavia's collapse... These days, the West increasingly puts to work in the world's strategic regions the humanitarian intervention scenarios and subversion techniques tested in the Balkans in the 1990ies... Speaking of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it obviously stays ethnically divided and scarred by the bloody past conflict even two decades since rolling out its independence...

Laws of Commemoration in the European Union: The Legal Prosecution of “Wrong” Historical Consciousness

A new wave of commemoration laws is sloping from Eastern European countries. Their common issue: to declare the denial of communist crimes to be a crime. In December 2010 six new EU member-states asked for a law to prosecute the denial of what is to be declared as a communist crime. The Czech foreign minister, Karel Schwarzenberg, assembled his colleagues from Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania and Latvia to ask Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the EU-Commission, to implement such a law...

Fifteen Years Since Dayton

The Dayton deal between the warring sides in Bosnia and Herzegovina was sealed fifteen years ago, on December 14, 1995. It marked a novel approach to negotiations which is generally credited to US veteran diplomat Richard C. Holbrooke who died this Monday...

Elections Without Choice. Washington and Brussels Decide Whom Bosnians Should Elect

On the eve of the October 3 elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the US intervened with unprecedented boldness in the republic's domestic affairs. The  nationalist upheaval among the Bosnian Muslims, the Serbs' inevitable reaction to it, and the pressure openly exerted by the US and the EU render practically hopeless any attempts to reach inter-ethnic compromise, unless eliminating Republika Srpska and promptly dragging Bosnia and Herzegovina into NATO as planned by Washington and Brussels count as such...

In the Grey Zone: Mladic's Diaries Sensationalized

Italy's La Repubblica presented as a sensational revelation fragments from the diaries of former Bosnian Serbs' army commander R. Mladic. The paper titled Mladic's Horrible Diaries: “We Need to Eliminate Muslims to Build a Great Serbia” said 18 notebooks with Mladic's writings had been found during a search of his family's Belgrade home and supplied to the Hague Tribunal... Del Ponte admitted in her memoirs that the Hague Tribunal functions in the grey zone between the legal and the political spheres... The article in La Republica happens to be just another example of the “grey zone”...

«Europe’s Hugo Chavez»

Hungarian premier Victor Orban clearly stands in the way of the plans of the global elite for Europe. Hungary’s new constitution which was passed in the spring of 2011 and entered into force on January 1, 2012 unequivocally placed emphasis on Christian legacy and nationhood and was immediately seen as a challenge by the forces of global governance. It happens to be the first constitution in Europe reflecting a radical departure from multiculturalism and the present-day brand of tolerance, which in practice translate into the erosion of national identity and infinite acceptance of moral deviance...
