In a statement issued by its Foreign Ministry Friday, Russia said it was hoping the observer mission sent by the Arab League to Syria would help that country end violence by all sides in its current conflict.
The Foreign Ministry also strongly denounced the latest Damascus terror attacks, which left 40 people dead and some 150 injured, It said it suspected the work of deliberate trouble-makers seeking to destroy the opportunities for a nationwide dialogue in Syria.
The casualties were caused by two suicide car bombs, going off outside the headquarters of security agencies. Most of the dead and injured were civilian.
