The UK has introduced more sanctions against Iran, BBC reports on Monday.
The sanctions stipulate full severance of relations between financial and credit institutions of the UK and Iranian banks, including the Central Bank. It is the first time that the UK breaks relations with the banking sector of a foreign country in this way, BBC points out.
In connection with the recent publication of an IAEA report, the US and Canada are also planning additional sanctions against Iran.
The report reads that until 2003 Iran carried out work aimed at creating nuclear weapons and is possibly carrying out such work now.
