Tuchola: Polish Death Camp for Russians

In early November a memorial to «the victims of Maidan» was suddenly erected on the Wilenski square, Warsaw, no matter the plans had envisioned the restoration of the Brotherhood in Arms Statue devoted to commemorate dozens of thousands of Red Army soldiers who lost their lives to liberate Poland from fascism in the days of WWII. The fact sparked a wave of indignation but it was not the desecration of the soldiers’ memory that caused it. Here is a message posted to Kresy.pl – «Maidan means a square in Ukrainian. Ukrainians made Poles come to maidan before they were slaughtered (in Volyn. – Author’s note). In some populated areas the swamps with remains of the victims are still called maidans». Some time before that the plans to erect the memorial to Polish death camp victims (Red Army soldiers who died in 1922-23) in Kraków’s Rakowicki Cemetery had been cancelled...

Polish Colonialism and Ukraine’s Neo-Nazism

Speaking in parliament recently Leszek Miller, former Poland’s Prime Minister and head of Democratic Left Alliance, said about the Russia-Ukraine relations «Poland has become rather a problem than a solution». The remark did not go unnoticed and he came under harsh criticism from media... Since the very first days of Maidan protests Poland has applied a lot of effort to turn Ukraine into a European problem. And it has closely cooperated with the United States. According to Alexander Yakimenko, the former head of Ukraine’s Security Service operative, «All the orders were given either by the US embassy or by Jan Tombinski, a Polish representative who worked in the EU mission in Kiev. Poland played an invaluable role in the coup. It has always dreamt of restoring its former power and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth»...

US Needs Wars to Be Waged Across the Globe

General midterm elections in the United States are to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 33 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate are to be contested along with in thirty-six states and three territories governorships along with numerous state and local races. The pre-election campaign is taking place in the atmosphere of unparalleled militarization of foreign and internal policy. According to US traditional perception, international instability and war always serve the dollar and spur the demand for US treasury bonds...

Russian Victims of Polish Concentration Camps

The idea to erect a memorial in Krakow devoted to Red Army soldiers who lost their lives in Polish concentration camps sparked a scandal in Poland. The Russian Military Historical Society collected funds for a monument to commemorate the Red Army servicemen taken prisoner who died in a concentration camp located in Dąbie and were buried in common grave... The Society’s website says those willing to make a contribution can use the offered bank account. The same post says «Over 1, 2 thousand Red Army prisoners, the victims of the 1919-1921 Soviet-Polish war, are buried at the Krakow cemetery. The names are mainly unknown. Paying respect to their memory is the duty of their successors». Poland is outraged - the idea of erecting a memorial is seen as an attempt to «distort history» and «distract attention from Katyn»...

Polish Chasteners in Ukraine

A protest action against the participation of Polish soldiers and mercenaries in combat actions in Ukraine occurred on October 4 near the parliament building in Warsaw. Participants held flags of Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s republics. They carried placards with slogans: ‘«,Stop Bandera «Stop supporting Banderites. We remember Volyn!», «No to Polish soldiers participation in NATO military operation in Ukraine!»... The participation of Poles in the Ukrainian crisis has many aspects, including the training of nationalist militants, the participation of mercenaries hired by Polish private contractors in the combat actions in Donbass, the weapons supplies to the Ukraine’s regime and the formation of joint Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade - LITPOLUKRBRIG...

NATO Eyes Transnistria

President Obama and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry attempted to craft a so-called "coalition of the willing" to help the United States fight the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in both Iraq and Syria. Obama was only able to enlist the support of the fragile new Iraqi government, the battered Kurdistan Regional Government in northern Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. The latter "partner," Saudi Arabia, has been ISIL's main benefactor. Obama also foolishly said he wanted to arm the "Free Syrian Army," even though many of its original members joined ranks with ISIL and its ally, the Al Nusra Front after being trained and armed by CIA and U.S. military teams in Jordan and Turkey...

Poland: Victim of Colonial ambitions

The emergence of contemporary Poland on the world map started with a military intervention. In March 1919 it attacked Russia devastated by the First World War and civil conflict. Having captured Kiev, Vilna and Minsk, Poland was not strong enough to go to Moscow and write on the Kremlin wall that speaking Russia was forbidden as Pilsudsky wanted... Poland saw itself as a great power, it dreamed of African colonies. It did not have enough «living space»... By the time Poland had internal colonies – Western Ukraine and Belarus. The occupied lands were subject to tough policy of colonization.  Poland was willingly cleansing East Kresy of foreigners: Jews, Belarusians.  Anti-Bolshevik sentiments gave rise to rampant anti-Semitism.  The authorities inspired Jewish pogroms. After Poland was occupied by Germany joint German-Polish patrols hunted for Jews... An impartial look at the past would no doubt stand the country’s elite of today a good stead as they proudly speak about the period between the two world wars...

European Killers Enjoy Fascist «Safari» in Ukraine

The self-defense forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported the elimination of two enemy’s block posts in the area of Donetsk in the first half of July. According to their Minister of Defense Igor Strelkov, one of them was defended by people in NATO combat fatigue who were foreign passport holders.  It’s not only the hired personnel of Western private military contractors who do their job by killing for money. There are also people who go to Ukraine to get pleasure and are ready to pay for it. Stan Patton, soldier of fortune, Blackwater, shares a quotation in his Twitter saying what the prices are: a shot of howitzers - $ 100 from the tank - $ 200, a shot in the village is priced at U.S. $ 350...

Polish Watergate Hits Radar Screen

Here we have ruckus raised. The hullabaloo story is called Poland’s Watergate Scandal. Wprost weekly published a transcription of conversation between top officials expressing their views on internal and foreign policy of the country... The foreign offices of Russia and the United States have already commented on the Sikorski’s statements. Now it’s the turn of the European Union to say its word. The events in Ukraine do not unfold the way Berlin, Paris or London wanted them to. The West European neighbors of Poland can have no scruples showing those who are responsible for shameful debacle the European Union suffered in the east. They’ll point the finger at Poland and its chief diplomat Mr. Sikorski.

What Are Polish Death Squads Fighting For in Ukraine?

On May 11 a plane arrived at Kiev's airport in strict secrecy; it was met by the airport's military personnel rather than the civilian staff. NATO military uniforms, 500 packages of amphetamines, and containers marked as poisonous substances were unloaded from the plane. By order of the Kiev directorate of the SBU, the fighters, the cargo and the containers of poison were not inspected and left the airport in cars with tinted windows. The cargo was accompanied by CIA agent Richard Michael. Aboard the plane were also fighters from the Right Sector and the Polish private military company ASBS (Analizy Systemowe Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz) Othago... The Poles have been participating actively in the formation of death squads in Ukraine since September 2013, when Foreign Minister R. Sikorski invited 86 members of the Right Sector to train at the police training center in Legionowo, 23 km from Warsaw...

Financial Market Manipulation Is The New Trend: Can It Continue?

Governments and economists take their hats off to free markets.  Yet, the markets are rigged, not free. ... No country dependent on foreign capital is sovereign.  A country dependent on foreign capital, especially from enemies seeking to subvert the economy, is subject to destabilizing currency and economic swings.  Russia should self-finance. ...The greatest harm that is being done to the Russian economy is not due to sanctions and the US attack on the ruble.  The greatest harm is being done by Russia’s neoliberal economists. Neoliberal economics is not merely incorrect.  It is an ideology that fosters US economic imperialism. ... If Russia is to survive, Putin must protect Russia from Western economic institutions and Western trained economists.
