Nobel Peace Prize Laureate EU Making a Mockery of Free Speech

Only three days after being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its alleged role in promoting peace and reconciliation across the European continent, the European Union made the most undemocratic and non-peaceful decision one might think of by ordering the French-based satellite provider Eutelsat SA to take 19 Iranian TV channels, including the 24-hour English-language Press TV off air, denying millions of viewers across the world the opportunity to benefit from the alternative, critical standpoint of a group of media which had for long endeavored to challenge the Western mainstream media's uncontested influence over the global public opinion...

When «freedom of speech» translates into hate crime

They see the offensive movie which has insulted one of the world's most ancient and popular religions in the light of their ambassador and other diplomatic staff being killed overseas. Of course such violence is not accepted, but the U.S. politicians and mass media have never paid due attention to the disgraceful and outrageous nature of a movie which portrays Islam a repressive religion and its prophet as a depraved and corrupt individual; a movie which has targeted the souls of 1.5 billion Muslims around the world with its heinous and appalling language...

Canada-Iran Tensions: Why Israel is so Happy

In a frantic and unexpectedly hysterical decision made on September 7, the Canadian government suspended all its diplomatic ties with Iran, closed its embassy in Tehran and ordered the Iranian diplomats to leave the Canadian soil in 5 days...The Israeli President Shimon Peres, who was awarded the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding role in the 1956 Kafr Qasim massacre which resulted in the killing of 6 women, 23 children aged 8-17 and a total of 49 people...couldn't hide his happiness at the Canada's move: "Canada has proven once again that morals come before pragmatism; Canada has demonstrated that policy must reflect principles and values", he said in a statement…

The upcoming summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran

While the United States, Israel and their European allies are pulling out all the stops to isolate Iran over its nuclear program, the upcoming meeting of the heads of state of the Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran seems to be throwing a spanner in their works. The Non-Aligned Movement, the rotating presidency of which will be conferred to Iran on August 26, is a major international organization comprising 120 member states that represent the political, cultural, economic and social interests of the developing world...

The Case of Iranian Diplomat and the Western Double Standards

The splendid concepts of human rights, international law, freedom and democracy can easily become the subject of mockery and derision by the Western propaganda and misinformation machinery overnight when these principles are going to be applied to countries like Iran...

The menacing plots of Mujahedin-e Khalq for Iran

The ill-omened, inauspicious plots of the terrorist gang Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) against Iran seem to have no end. The recent letter signed by 44 U.S. Senators addressed to President Obama in which it was implied that time for diplomacy with Iran is over and other options to deal with Iran's nuclear program should be considered is said to be a magnum opus of MKO...

Terrorists arrested, hopes renewed

The announcement by Iran's intelligence ministry that it has arrested 20 people associated with the terrorist operations in which two of the country's nuclear scientists were assassinated received the Western mainstream media's meaningful silence...

Those who benefit from failed Iran talks

...The best policy for P5+1, if they want a progress in the talks, is to dissociate themselves from the Israeli lobby and take into consideration the mutual benefit of Iran and themselves. Of course a diplomatic and peaceful resolution to Iran's nuclear program will be a win-win game while Israel, without any doubts, will be the only loser.

Opposition to Iran War Gaining Momentum

International Action Center which is a peace organization associated with Ramsey Clark, the US Attorney General from 1967 to 1969, has posted several articles on its websites, calling to end the campaign of intimidation and coercion against Iran. In an article written by Ramsey Clark, the mostly overlooked issue of the assassination of Iran's nuclear scientists by Israel's intelligence agents was raised and the intolerable indifference and deafening silence of the West to Israel's state-sponsored terrorism was questioned. The article which was written immediately after the assassination of Iran's 32-year-old nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan... This is the fifth Iranian scientist targeted by assassins working in Iran in two years...

Google following CIA's path in confronting Iran

The American web giant Google has recently fueled an anti-Iranian campaign by removing the name of Persian Gulf from its online maps and Google Earth plans. No Google official was ready to give comments on this questionable move, and Iranians are still wondering what motives have caused the American company to take such a thoughtless action...

Colombia: A Stepping Stone for U.S. Operations against Venezuela

The arrests of Colombian paramilitares on the territory of Venezuela are not seen as anything sensational. There are more and more cases like that. And nobody asks why the fighters are methodically infiltrating the country, cleverly disguised as seasonal workers or tourists. They are being used by the enemies of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as part of a wide-reaching conspiracy, coordinated by U.S. and NATO intelligence agencies, to overthrow the lawfully elected authorities...
