Angelina Jolie: Bimbo and the Beast

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Angelina Jolie and William Hague made their high-profile appearance this week, it is estimated that over six million people have been killed and millions more displaced in ongoing wars since the 1990s. The main contributor to the genocide particularly in the Eastern Congo is the militant groups backed by neighbouring Rwanda and Uganda. The regimes in both of these countries are clients of the US and Britain... We may easily dismiss Angelina Jolie as a pathetic «bimbo» not worth a second thought. But the sanitizing job she performs for British, American and French state terrorism in the eyes of millions around the world makes her a dangerous commodity. A femme fatale indeed...

Financial Wars: Attack is the Best Form of Defence

By keeping a close eye on statements made by Soros, publications produced by media companies he controls and the actions of other companies financed by his Foundation, it is not difficult to see who the next victim of these financial wars is going to be – Europe... As well as the psychological excitation – spreading the idea that the collapse of the European currency is inevitable – there is other preparatory work to be carried out. Other the last few months, the US has been using its best endeavours to create a Free Trade Zone with the European Union with a view to finally removing the remaining barriers to the penetration of American capital into Europe and, after engineering the collapse of the euro, to buy up Europe's tastiest morsels using vastly inflated dollars under the pretext of saving the EU's economy... On the financial battlefield, which the world turned into long ago, there is a rigid division between those who create financial capital and those who import and earn this capital...

BRICS: New Geopolitical Model and Russia’s Foreign Policy Priority

Another annual BRICS summit wrapped up on March 27 in South Africa... The BRICS states recognized the right of Palestine to statehood. They emphasized the resolution of the conflict in Syria should be based on the Geneva Communiqué instead of the decisions taken by the League of Arab Nations, they stressed that the African conflicts management is the priority for Africa, the leaders also pointed out that Iran has a right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It’s important BRICS supported the activities of African Union and ECOWAS in Mali, ostensibly shying away from buttressing France and some other Western states which intervened without the United Nations approval...

Obama and Middle East: Gap between Plans and Reality

President Obama has wound up his Middle East trip, which included Israel, Palestine and Jordan, the region where conflicts are raging. There had been hopes there would be a breakthrough in the Israeli – Palestine deadlock, perhaps thanks to involvement of king Abdullah II of Jordan. It had been clear before the visit President Obama had nothing to offer that would be acceptable for the both sides, so the assistants focused on enhancing his image in the countries included into the trip’s plan...

The Crisis in the EU and the Rise of Germany

«This year could be the most difficult of the crisis for Europe», predicts Germany's Foreign Affairs Minister, Guido Westerwelle (1). Amid news from Brussels and a number of other EU countries, this conclusion comes as a surprise to no-one. Reports that European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton declined to remain in their posts for the next term are only aggravating the confused impression being given by Europe's political elite. Horses are not usually changed midstream but if they are, it means they are no longer offering any kind of hope... And it is becoming increasingly evident that Germany's key role in settling problems in the Eurozone is creating a special relationship between Germany and its partners...

Venezuela: Maduro Taking Lead

210 thousand policemen and traffic inspectors are tasked with the mission to preserve law and order before the April 14 presidential election. The military have already boosted security around industrial facilities. Everyone, who doesn’t belong to law enforcement agencies, is banned to have firearms. Alcohol is prohibited. The authorities say the screws will be tightened even more as the election day is drawing closer. As polls say, opposition candidate Henrique Capriles has no chances. This very fact poses threat to stability... Capriles needs dramatic exacerbation of the situation to turn the tide...

Xinjiang in Focus of US Foreign Policy

The US intervention into Afghanistan has exacerbated the situation near the southern part of Russia. In case the US gets a foothold in the Xinjiang Uygur Region, the things will exponentially worsen, there are many Uyghurs living in Central Asia (250000 in Kazakhstan, 60000 in Kyrgyzstan, 50000 in Uzbekistan etc)... The US goes to any length to support the Uygur separatists abroad, for instance the World Uyghur Congress headed by Rabiya Kadir , one of the richest Chinese in the world...

Europe: Time for a Reappraisal of Values

Without any exaggeration, the events that have unfolded in the countries of the European Union following the global economic crisis can be called a humanitarian catastrophe. Not according to economic indicators, which remain high. The catastrophe for people living in the EU has been the collapse of the world they are used to, the destruction of a seemingly natural social partnership between state and society, society and capital. The scale of the decline in Europe's social standards is really quite impressive...

Cyprus: Rescued and Attacked. Who is Behind it?

The Eurogroup’s decision on financial aid for Cyprus had been taken just one day before the X- hour, late on March 25. Destined to rescue Cyprus, it may become a delayed action mine capable to undermine the whole edifice of the European Union... There are three players, who have special interest in enticing panic in world stock and currency exchanges; they are well-known stock exchange profit-eer George Soros, the International Monetary Fund and Germany, the country facing general elections in September...

US Boosts Africa Presence

It’s an open secret AFRICOM was created to counter the growing presence of China in Africa. The Chinese African performance is a story of success... In terms of development lending, as opposed to conditional lending by the World Bank, Chinese aid is rendered with no strings attached and usually spent on infrastructure projects that raise grass roots living standards... Just a few months before the US decision to establish AFRICOM, China hosted an historic Beijing summit, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), which brought nearly fifty African heads of state and ministers to Beijing in October 2006... In July 2012 China offered African countries $20 billion in loans over the next three years, double the amount pledged in the previous three-year period...

Kiev Elections Can’t Sanitise State of Mob Rule

The Kiev regime’s parliamentary elections this weekend are set to go ahead amid an atmosphere of rampant political street violence and intimidation – and that’s not in the war-torn eastern part of Ukraine. The parliamentary elections were called in June by the then elected President Petro Poroshenko as a way of legitimising the illegal coup against the Ukrainian government that occurred four months previously with the support of the American Central Intelligence Agency... In the paraphrased words of Abraham Lincoln, no electoral process can sanitise the glaring fact of Kiev’s rule of the mob, by the mob, for the mob.
