The U.S. military will leave Kyrgyzstan Manas Air Base in 2014

On December 24th the President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev, held a major press conference in Bishkek which was notable for a series of important statements on foreign and domestic policy. According to analysts, the tone and the meaning behind his statements implied that Kyrgyzstan had embarked upon the path of a closer alliance with Russia. One of the most resounding of President Atambayev’s remarks was in regard to the future of the U.S. military base in Kyrgyzstan. «There should be no military dimension at Manas international airport», he stated... According to the president of Kyrgyzstan, the American presence has had a destabilizing effect on the region...

Zbigniew Brzezinski as a mirror of American devolution (II)

Brzezinski admits that the «exuberant optimism» about the omnipotence of the United States did not last long. Consumer culture and the deregulation of the economy led to the bursting of the stock market bubble and large-scale financial crisis. The wars of George W. Bush have proved disastrous for the country, even before that there was Clinton’s Balkan adventure and the collapse of U.S. foreign policy in general. The similarities between the Soviet Union in the twilight of its days and America at the beginning of the XXI century are really disturbing, notes Brzezinski...

Zbigniew Brzezinski as a mirror of American devolution (I)

The passing of 2012, among other things, was marked by a publication of fundamental importance, in terms of understanding the processes occurring in the world and the U.S., the book by Zbigniew Brzezinski «Strategic Vision: America and the Crisis of Global Power» (1). The author is known to be, to put it mildly, very indifferently disposed to Russia. Many argue about the extent of his influence on U.S. policy. However,.. Brzezinski’s book can be considered a prelude, as it echoes the ideas of a just-released predictive report from the U.S. National Intelligence Council, «Global Trends 2030»...

Afghanistan under U.S. occupation

Washington's statements about the success of the Western mission in Afghanistan raise nothing more than sarcastic smiles. In reality there is no sign of a victory for the Western coalition. The war does not subside for a single day. In terms of one of the objectives of the operation - to ensure that members of the ousted Taliban government stand trial, the results of the 11-year campaign are zero. Afghanistan has returned to the «pre-Taliban» fragmented state. Provincial towns and even some villages have announced their independence from Kabul, and some even have their own armed forces. Combat operations take place almost every day. Frequently the soldiers and officers of the puppet government army, created and funded by the occupiers, are killing NATO troops... The entire Afghan economy is growing and processing narcotics...

Canada’s White Racist Government

By all measures of governing standards, the Conservative government of Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper embodies the same racist policies as that of the governments of the former Rhodesia and apartheid South Africa. The Harper government’s patronizing policies over Canada’s First Nations is a case in point. Coupled with Canada’s abhorrent support for Israel’s expansionistic Zionist policies at the expense of the people of Palestine, the Harper government’s attempt to wrest control of resource-rich lands from Canada’s indigenous peoples for exploitation by multinational corporations is reminiscent of the same policies that saw native lands of South Africa and Rhodesia crudely exploited by DeBeers and British American Tobacco...

Germany Rediscovers Its Imperialist Drive

Has Germany finally gotten over its war guilt? It would seem so, with the imminent deployment of 400 Bundeswehr troops in Turkey to help install and operate NATO Patriot missile systems in that country. The historic move of German troops being sent to a foreign territory in full combat mode follows the near-unanimous vote by the Bundestag parliament in Berlin earlier this month. Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative-led government had already sanctioned the dispatch of the German Patriot batteries to Turkey as part of a new American and Dutch missile formation there. Initial estimates last month of the total NATO deployment in Turkey have risen rapidly from 400 personnel to an expected 2,000... Both Iranian and Russian leaders have denounced the NATO deployment as a dangerous provocation...

CSTO, Uzbekistan and Integration of Eurasia

The last month of the passing year was full of events related to the process of former USSR integration. Uzbekistan has finally left the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a body steady on the way to becoming a full-fledged defensive alliance (otherwise the very term «collective security» would lose its meaning). The Eurasian Economic Community’s existence is nearing its end to give place to the Eurasian Economic Union by 2015...

Gold and «End of World»

It’s a long time US grassroots and Congress members started to doubt there was anything left in the US official gold storage, and even if there was, it had anything to do with gold. There has been a flow of world media publications in 2012 presenting irrefutable evidence the world market was flooded with goldbricks, and tungsten, that has the same specific gravity, is used instead of yellow metal. There are a lot of indirect signs proving the banksters have dug a hand into the Treasury gold reserves a long time ago...

Aleut Internment Camps

...The movie called Aleut Story has hit the screens recently. This is the story devoted to the horrible events of 1942, when the population of the Aleutian Islands and the island of Pribilof was replaced and interned... The story of Japanese internment is more or less known in the United States... After the Japanese bombing of Dutch Harbor in Unalaska in 1942, the Alaska’s Aleuts followed the fate of Japanese Americans. The U.S. government required anyone with one-eighth of Aleut blood or more to be evacuated from the islands. Nobody told them where they were taken to. They were just forcibly moved to ships and taken to special camps (in all there were four of such locations). The living conditions were terrible: hunger, cold, deceases, death...

Chavez. Venezuela is on the Threshold of New Tests

We cannot yet have complete confidence in a successful outcome of the fourth operation, which Hugo Chavez has undergone. Cuban oncologists and surgeons are doing their best to suppress the disease, and the metastases which appear despite the grueling sessions of chemotherapy. Chavez is optimistic, but this time, on December 9, this year, before flying to Havana, he did not exclude the possibility of his standing down early from the presidency, and he named his successor...

Liberation of Europe: Siege of Budapest

The Battle of Budapest (October 29, 1944 till February 13, 1945) was a great battle of WWII. The victory paved the way for liberation of Hungary, destruction of the Hitler’s coalition in Europe and blockade of German forces in the Balkans... The Soviet 2d and 3d Ukrainian Fronts were confronted by German Army Group South, part of Group Center and the army of Hungary, the last ally of Nazis in Europe... The Hungarian capital was encircled. Hitler ordered Obergruppenfuehrer-SS Karl Pfeffer-Wildenbruch to fight to the last. The storm started on December 26, 1944 to continue for the next two months. For comparison, Berlin was captured in two weeks...
