US Pakistan Relations at Their Nadir

The 26 th November attack by US gunships on Pakistani military posts at Salala, along the Pak-Afghan border in Mohmand tribal agency, killed 26 Pakistani soldiers and brought the relationship between the two “strategic partners” to a low point perhaps lower than any other point in the long and chequered 60-year old history. The anti-American feeling that pervades Pakistan’s body was further inflamed...

Sources of Libyan War. Revelations of Former French Foreign Minister

At first glance at the 2011 events in Libya it looks like the decision to attack the country was taken only somewhere in February or March. A number of facts and official documents seem to prove it... But there are facts of completely different nature that give enough ground to say that there was a thoroughly played game aimed at lulling the vigilance of Libyan leadership...

The American-Iran Cold War in the Middle East and the Threat of Broader War

A cold war has been ongoing between Tehran and Washington. U.S. spies, drones, assassinations, and accusations against Tehran have all been a part of this package. Washington and its minions have been using every means possible, including international organizations, like the United Nations as a battleground against Tehran in this cold war. The destabilization campaign being waged against Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon are also a critical front in this cold war...

Softening Up Iran for the Final Attack

In many ways, America's and Israel's much-anticipated war against Iran has already begun. It is not the type of war that was expected -- an Israeli textbook style surprise and swift attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, followed by a sustained U.S. and NATO air campaign -- but a covert war with quite an unexpected feature. The covert war, which has seen increased U.S. drone activity over Iranian skies and an increase in suspicious explosions at Iranian military facilities, has been coupled with American support for destabilization efforts against all of Iran's allies and friends, including Syria, Russia, China, North Korea, and Venezuela...

The Malvinas Issue and the South Atlantic

“Malvinas is not just an Argentine issue, but a worldwide cause”. With the above phrase, in the last Mercosur Summit (the trading block that includes Argentine, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay) in Montevideo (December 21), Argentine´s President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (before being appointed chairman of this body) geopolitically summarised the South Atlantic conflict with England...

Syria and Middle East: Options and Implications (II)

The Syrian internal situation will continue to escalate, causing a further rise in tensions between Turkey and Iran. And all this at a time when no one really knows how the political forces inside Syria are distributed and when which way the confrontation between Ankara and Tehran may turn. Any military intervention against Syria, the Middle East will break the pattern, resulting in a regional rebellion. Russia is an important actor trying hard to prevent the worst to happen...

Syria and Middle East: Options and Implications (I)

The Arab Spring has not had a major impact on regional or international balance of power so far, but this could change if there is a regime change in Syria. A dangerous and unpredictable chain reaction may set the region ablaze. The repercussions throughout the world are impossible to predict. Inciting escalation is Syria is like playing with fire... There is something new emerging but something being a far cry from what the major part of US think tanks ever predicted...

Syria and the New Model of International Transformations

While the West does explain via the UN Security Council that the situation in Syria is different from what used to be found in Libya, the part of the scenario for the latter concerning a potential intervention appears absolutely identical to that for the former... The international community's repressive machinery must be bracing for a new attack considering how intensely the UN Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the UN special investigator for Syria are campaigning against the country...

Syria: situation going for worse

The situation in Syria is definitely getting worse... The scale and level of coordination of the terrorist acts give ground to say they were subversive operations well planned and controlled from abroad. Al Kaida, Fatah Al Islam (the Victory of Islam), Jund Al-Islam (the Soldiers of Islam), A Talia al-Mukatila (Fighting Vanguard) military wing of Muslim Brotherhood, all these organizations have teams of militants operating in the Syrian territory besides criminals. The total number is 2-4 thousand. They get arms through Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan...

World War III Has Begun – It`s the First Asymmetric War Long Awaited by Pentagon Think Tanks

The Pentagon has already declared World War III and President Barack Obama and the Congress never even carried out their constitutional duties to approve the use of American military power for war... Presently, World War III is being conducted on two continents – Asia and Africa – with two others – Europe and South America – looming on the horizon... A new type of warfare was required by the elites: asymmetric warfare – the use of unconventional warfare tactics, including information warfare, by proxies, non-state actors, agents provocateur, and fifth columns...

The Outcome of Joe Biden’s Visit to Ukraine

Ukrainian propaganda had tried to portray talks with US Vice-President Joseph Biden as an expression of America’s categorical support of the self-proclaimed Kiev government, but examining the content of the visit more carefully reveals Washington’s growing irritation with its minions in Ukraine. While supporting them for geopolitical reasons, the US is burdened with having to prove the ‘democraticness’ and legitimacy of a regime which, in reality, is neither democratic nor legitimate... The propaganda from Kiev, which separates protests into legal or illegal, contradicts the spirit and letter of the Geneva Declaration, which extends the concept of “de-escalating tensions” throughout the whole of Ukraine...
